First Devlog


This is my first devlog, but not my first project. I'll actually be uploading my first project shortly after writing this. This is my first semi-complete proof of concept done just for fun.

I started wanting to do a simple take on the rolling ball games like marble blast, then decided to pivot to balancing the ball on a typical third person character's shoulders. Once I had a system where dialogue and events could be triggered, I decided to expand that into a sort of side-quest system.  The destruction element is what I like to think of as the "reward for failure", as I find watching things crumble and explode rather satisfying. 

I could definitely have done more work on optimization, I'm definitely stronger with design than I am with programming. Any and all feedback is welcome, keeping in mind that I'm already aware of some of the obvious issues, but if anyone thinks there's some good at the core of this I'd be happy to continue working on it and even make more levels!
